Summer Solstice: Welcome the Love & Light

On Wednesday June 21st 2017 at 12:24am EST, Summer officially arrives in the Northern Hemisphere. I am sure that many of us have long awaited this day after the crazy winter we all had with the back and forth of nice weather and cold weather. This day marks the time of year when the days start to get longer than the nights. Also known as Midsummer or Litha, it is truly a time for celebration. The time of the “light” that we experience during the Solstice and the summer months is a great opportunity for you to work on some of your spiritual goals, reconnect with the “source” energy, or manifest your dreams. Here are a few things you can do to during the Summer Solstice, to draw in the power of the sun and gratefully welcome in the season:

  • Hold a Solstice bonfire celebration.
  • Spend the day out in Nature and reconnect with the energy of the Sun.
  • Seek some realignment in your overall life! Perhaps you should adjust some of those New Year’s resolutions.
  • Reconnect with your Faith and renew your relationship with God.
  • Take a walk along a body of water. While you are walking, visualize what your summer, special events, love, people and new careers that you wish to bring into your life this summer will look like.
  • Sit outside and read a book that can connect with your purpose.
  • Start a healthy food cleanse.
  • Consider an Energy Healing session to clear out old energy and make room for new.
  • Meditate outside in a garden, forest, park or your sanctuary in your own yard.
  • If you happen to like Ancient Egyptian Culture like I do, work with the Egyptian God Ra. Ra is the God of the sun and radiance.
  • Have a conversation with the Faeries… Yes Faeries. Making reference to “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, there is much magic that can be obtained working with the Faeries. This can also be a fun activity if you have children. Perhaps, build a little Faery home or terrarium and welcome them to come into your home, garden or your dreams.
  • Make an altar with summer flowers and herbs, and light a candle and tell the Universe what you wish to manifest this summer.
  • Participate in a Solstice Ceremony or Drumming Circle.
  • On or around the Solstice time, go outside and just stand in the sun for a few minutes to soak in the energy of the Sun. If you really want to feel this, stand facing the sun, close your eyes, put your hands up and just enjoy the feelings.

No matter how you choose to spend the Summer Solstice, know that there will be loving magic behind your intentions. This is what will make it unique and special for you. With the warmth of the Sun coming to Earth, you can expect to feel happier, healthier and an overall sense of well-being, physically, emotionally and spiritually. There are many Sun deities and Goddesses that you can work with during your summer solstice celebrations, and you may want to work with them all. The most important thing is to recognize what you are guided towards and go with it as it is part of the carefree joy and laughter of the season.

Releasing with the Full Moon

The Full Moon is much more than something that helps light up the night sky and blocks certain constellations from being seen due to the moonlight. The moon represents the feminine, emotional, creative and nurturing aspects of our lives and has been worshiped throughout ancient history. The Full Moon is also known to have high tide of power, amplifying and inspiring our creativity. It is a time to release that which no longer serves us, what we no longer need in our lives or an aspect of ourselves that we have outgrown.

A complete cycle of the moon takes exactly 28 days, radiating her energy to us in cycles of waxing and waning, bringing in the ebbing and flowing we all feel throughout the month.

Besides providing some nice ambient lighting in the night sky, the moon can affect us in many ways that we don’t even realize. Much like the moon affects the tide of the ocean, it affects our body. More than half of the human body consists of water. Consequently, your body can feel full, bloated, etc around the full moon and lighter around the new moon. Also, women tend to go into labor around the Full Moons due to the gravitational pull of the moon and the fluid that surrounds the baby. The phases of the moon also affect our sleep patterns. I know whenever there is a full moon, I feel more restless and become an insomniac especially on Super Moons. There is a quote that says “In my defense, the Moon was full and I was unsupervised” Your mood is also another area that can change based on the Moon. Yes, that’s right! There is also a saying I used to hear growing up; “all the weirdo’s come out on the full moon.” I use to take this very seriously, until somewhere in my 30’s I realized that I was one of the weirdos taking a moon bath, talking to the sky, and doing other things in my yard. You can read about that below. But, the moon can bring things up and can even cause chaos inside of us. If we don’t understand it, we can feel like we are losing our minds or want to yell and scream at someone. Life can be very frustrating especially if you do not know why you have these feelings. So, start paying attention to your patterns and how your body feels in relation to the moon, and see if that helps change your perspective on life.

Here are some of my favorite ways to work with the Full Moon

Full Moon Altar:

Creating an altar with a specific intention is one of the most powerful things you can do to harness the magic within you. It doesn’t have to be fancy, or the biggest most beautiful thing you have ever seen. It just has to come from the heart. Allow your soul to speak through your actions and the items that you choose. I like to make sure I have a white candle representing the full moon. I also like to choose certain stones or crystals depending on what I am working on releasing with that specific moon. Other items you may find helpful are, feathers, musical items such as a rattle or drum and some sage to burn. Music is a great way to shift energy as you are releasing it. So, you can burn some sage, drum and sit in front of your altar and release all that no longer serves you.

Moon Bath:

No matter what I am doing the night of the Full Moon, I always like to make some time for a moon bath! A moon bath, is where you spend some time under the moonlight and just allow your energy and the energy of the moon to connect. It can be as simple as a few minutes to thirty minutes or an hour. When taking a moon bath, I like to stand with my hands palm up in the receiving position and just talk to La Luna. I tell her everything I wish to release and areas from which I am ready to move on. I ask her help in clearing the way providing an easy separation. It can be a powerful experience to allow the vibes of the moon to soak into your energy field. The Full Moon is also a great time to charge and clear any of your stones, crystals and other spiritual tools. You can place them on a window sill facing the moonlight, or place them directly outside where they can soak up the energy.

Moon Water Bath:

Similar to a Moon bath, a Moon water bath or Moon bathing, is where you soak in the tube with some Himalayan Salt.  The minerals of the salt are absorbed while toxins are released into the bath water. The inside and the outside of your body detoxifies through this process, while your energetic field is restored and energy flow is activated. You can also add other herbs and essential oils to your liking. Some popular choices are cedar, frankincense, hyssop, juniper berry, myrtle, orange, rose, sage, sandalwood, tangerine, tea tree and yarrow. While you allow yourself to soak in the water for a good 20 to 30 minutes, allow the energy of the bath to release any specific intension you may have as well.

Moon Prayer:

Praying with the moon can also bring you much releasement. Here is one of my most favorite prayers to for the Full Moon. “I AM now choosing to cleanse myself and release any and all thought forms, beings, situations and energies that are no longer of service to my highest and greatest good. across all planes of my existence, across all universes and across all lifetimes. I ask that all energies that are less than love be transmuted for the highest good of all. And so it is.” – You are Luminous

Fire Ceremony:

When we talk about releasement, fire or burning something may not be the first thing that comes to your mind. But, in the processes of burning something, you are releasing the energy associated with it. A fire ceremony is simple yet powerful. You will want to start by writing down what you want to release with the Full Moon. Sometimes, it can be just a few items or maybe you have pages of stuff you want to let go of. Once you have everything written down, head outside to the moonlight. If you have a fire pit you will be all set. If not, grab a fire safe bowl or pot, a lighter or matches, and a bottle of water. Find a great place where you can see the moon and either head to your fire pit, or take your other items. Preferably, you will be away from your house and on concrete. If you are using a fire pit, simply state your intensions to the moon and ask that it free you from everything on the list and throw it in the fire. If you are using a fire safe bowl or pot, rip the paper up into smaller pieces and place them in the bowl. Once in the bowl, set your intentions for releasement, and use the lighter or matches to set them on fire. Once everything is done, you will want to safely extinguish the fire. If you are using a fire safe bowl, the fire should stop once all the paper is done burning.  Then, pour a little water in the bowl and let it sit overnight in the moonlight. The next day, burry the paper and thank Mother Earth for taking what you have released. You can also make a releasement pot. Where you can burry your monthly releasements in the one pot and allow the paper to act as compost for the pot.

Moon Sprays:

I have had an infatuation with spiritual sprays for many years. So, out of my own desire to work with a special spray for the moons, I created a New Moon Blessing Spray and Full Moon Releasement Spray.  These sprays are made in sacred space, and energetically charged in the appropriate moon phase. Reality of Worthiness

As we go through this year of New Beginnings, we start to review where we were and where we want to be in life. Some of these feelings can bring up thoughts of feeling unworthy or inadequate. Dealing with these emotions can often leave one feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or, possibly, even anxious. We can often go through our whole lives thinking we do not deserve to be happy, or deserving of what we really want. This can be very common when we start to find ourselves feeling happy either in a new career or relationship. We can even self-sabotage ourselves out of that happiness because we do not feel worthy of it. I used to have a really challenging time when people would give me compliments of any kind. They actually used to make me feel very self-conscious and uncomfortable. I was told by many people that it can actually be a turn off when someone would sit there and not only not accept a compliment. But, then turn around and make the person who gave the compliment think that something was wrong with them. Often when we feel unworthy in life or of choices we make, we feel like we have to justify our actions and over-explain to people whom we don’t really owe an explanation. Once I started to realize I was doing this and how it was making others possible feel uncomfortable, I started to simple say two words. It was my response to any kind of compliment from “That outfit looks great, or I like those earrings, or cute shoes or purse, etc.” These two words started to feel like my own magic words where it was a win-win for everyone. I didn’t feel uncomfortable saying them and it eliminated any need for justification. So what were these two magic words you may be asking? “Thank you.” Those two small words made a huge difference. Now of course it took some time to get used to.  A few times, I had to stop myself from falling into old habits. Overtime I felt myself recognizing my own worth in certain areas of my life. To help work through all these different feelings and emotions and to find some balance, I suggest you start your morning off with a few affirmations. You can also say a few when you start to feel those overwhelming feelings that cause you to feel unworthy. The trick is to see which one you relate to the most and adjust as you see fit. Here are some affirmations that you can start to use every day:

  • All is well in my world and I exchange love and acceptance with the world.
  • I accept others as they are and they in turn accept me as I am.
  • I am free to make my own choices and decisions.
  • I am Love, I am Loved and I am worthy of Love
  • I am never alone. The universe supports me and is with me at every step.
  • I approve of myself and feel great about myself.
  • I consciously release the past and live only in the present.
  • I deserve all that is good. I release any fear.
  • I love and accept myself unconditionally.
  • I release the need to prove myself to anyone as I am my own self and I love it that way.
  • My self-love allows me to accept compliments easily and also freely compliment others.
  • My mind is filled only with loving, healthy, positive thoughts which the Universe mirrors back at me in my life.
  • My mind is full of gratitude for my lovely and wonderful life.

The power of prayer can also help you get through those moments where you are just in state of panic, depression, anxiousness or even questioning our own worthiness. Here is one that people have found helpful.

“Dear God,
Help me to remember I am worthy of love in my life and all of my relationships.  Please replace all of my unhealed, limiting or judgmental thoughts about myself with Your love.  I forgive myself for all past mistakes and failures and allow the purity of Your love to heal my mind and heart.  I’m willing  to see myself as whole, complete, innocent and pure, as You created me.  Please give me the wisdom and strength to release the past and claim the love and happiness that is Your will for me.  I dedicate all of my relationships to the Truth, as You created it, and trust that Peace is inevitable.  Thank You, in advance, that with You as my Source, all of my relationships are loving, lasting, harmonious and blessed.  With Your guidance and certainty, I will reach the highest levels of joy and happiness in all of my relationships.  Thy will be done.  Amen”

This Prayer is an excerpt from the Miracles in Prayer book by Robin Duncan.

Another helpful tool to use for worthiness is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Also known as tapping, it is a great way to help one achieve a better mind set to help one feel worthy. The thing about worthiness is, as much as you want to change your feelings on it, unfortunately, it will not change overnight. Be patient with yourself especially while working through this process. When you start any of these methods of Affirmations, prayer or EFT give yourself at least 21-40 days to form a new habit and see the benefits of it in your emotional, physical and spiritual body.  Once you do, you will start to see how entire world can change. Not only will you start to see your worthiness, but you will find yourself more accepting of positive things coming into your life. The more you do that, the more they will continue to flow in abundance to you. Your relationships will improve as well as your career / life desires and ambitions. Finding your worthiness can also have a significant healthy impact on your mind, body & spirit and one’s connection to the Universe.

How to work with Spirit Animals and Power Animals: 101

Working with animals on a spiritual level can be just as important as working with angels, guides and loved one. You may have heard many terms related to the ways animals can work with us spiritually such as “Spirit Animal” and “Power Animal”. A Spirit Animal is an animal who comes to you in order to show you through its own unique nature and skills how to deal with the manifestations of your Spiritual Journey. Think of your spirit animal as a guardian spirit or spirit guide. It can play the role of protector and provides guidance. It’s like a “personal guide or protector.” The Important thing to know about Spirit Animals is that you do not choose your Spirit Animal, and it chooses you! Another key point of Spirit Animals is they will appear only at the time and place in your life when you are ready to accept them and the wisdom they come to offer. I have found that, over the course of various times in life, a person can have multiple Spirit Animals based on what may be going on at that time and can change once a certain lesson may be learned. But, once a Spirit Animal presents itself to you, regardless if a particular part of your journey is over, you can always call on the animal’s energy whenever you need it. You can do this even if a new animal has presented itself or you haven’t worked with the animal in a long time. From what Spirit has told me, everyone has a constant Spirit Animal that they are born with, almost like a Guardian Angel. While other Spirit Animals may come and go, this Spirit Animal will always be by your side.

The other term you may be familiar with is a Power Animal. A Power Animal will often let us call upon it and harness its energy and powers to get us through a situations and particular moments. Unlike a Spirit Animal we can choose this animal. In addition, the spirit of the animal could unite with the person it “chose” in more personal ways and one will often find similarities in traits of personality, characteristics, and synchronicity between the two. As such, the power or essence of the animal can be felt or communicated. One of the cool things is you can actually merge with a Spirit/ Power Animal. If any of you have seen any of the Twilight movies, you know that Jacob is part of a tribe that can turn into wolves. That is a Spirit/ Power Animal for him! I often tell clients to imagine they are one with the animal. For example, let’s say you have a Spirit/ Power Animal that is a lion. You can literally ask the lion to merge with you. It would feel as if the animal was the outside shield protecting you while you were inside and safe from harsh energies.

Here is a great Meditation to help you find your Spirit Animal.

  1. Create a safe private space that you can relax in private free from interruption including all electronics.
  2. You will want to create sacred space. You can use holy water, crystals, prayer, or call in the  guides, and angels you work with. You can also call in the 4 directions (east, south, west, & north) and Mother Earth and Father Sky.   3. You will want to relax by either sitting or lying down in a position which keeps your back straight. Use sounds of nature to help you be present in this meditation.
  4. Relax and breathe. Allow your body to release all tension, beginning at the top of your head or crown chakra. Then, as you continue to breathe, you will find that all negativity and stress have released out your feet and into the Earth.
  5. When you feel ready, invite your spirit animal to come forward. Don’t panic if an animal doesn’t immediately appear. Trust in your intuition and it will come. When it does, welcome them into your energy field. You will also want to thank it for the messages and insight it is going to provide you.
  6. You will want to create a dialogue with the animal. Start by asking it if it is your spirit animal. Once you confirm, ask it any questions you may have. You may want to ask its name, what its purpose in helping you is, you can ask about certain areas of your life that you may need assistance with and so on.
  7. Once you have received all the insight you desire, you will once again want to thank your spirit animal for showing up in your meditation.
  8. You will once again want to focus on your breathing, you will become more present as you return to your sacred space. Take some time to thank any other spirits, guides, angels etc. You will also want to thank the four direction.
  9. You may want to journal about your experience so you can go back and remember the insight that your spirit animal provided you.

Once you know your spirit animal or power animal is, you can work with it through any form of meditation, prayer, or by simply asking that it to join you for the day. I have even seen people incorporate their animal in their jewelry. You can always look for signs of the actual animal as well. This can serve as a reminder that they are with you. The more you work with these animals the deeper connection you will have and the stronger you will trust your own intuition. I love using the site http://www.whats-your-sign.com/ to look up the spiritual meaning of the animal that comes through. It is very detailed and you will learn why that animal is in your life. It is a privilege to work with any type of spirit animal or power animal energy. Consider it just as important as any other relationships you have. Your animal will be there for you and protect you. Stay open to receiving and it will always show up for you.

An Empath’s Guide to Dating and Relationships: Part 2

A few years ago, I wrote “An Empath’s Guide to Dating and Relationships”. It has been by far our most popular blog. What I have learned from this is that love is really universal and so is energy. People from all over the world are experiencing the same things regarding love and relationship. This applies whether it is a parent, a sibling, co-workers or a romantic partner. As an empath, you are so sensitive to energy shifts from people, places, things and world events. Here are some answers to the most common questions over the years and some additional information.

One of the most common things I know I have experienced, as well as others, is this ping pong effect that can happen with someone you are really close with, especially a partner. Let’s say that your partner is going through an incredibly challenging time. As a result, they shut down emotionally and it is like a stone wall barrier. Although the situation has nothing to do with you personally, you feel the energy of the situation very strongly. It is very common that you may pick up the other person’s emotions of sadness, anxiety, frustration, loneliness, depression and more. Many times you may think that it is you feeling that way when, in fact, it is the other person. Then what can happen when you are both really close like a husband or wife, or in a romantic relationship, and both of you are sensitive to energy the energy can bounce back and forth from each of you, creating the ping pong effect. You may feel helpless in this type of situation, or feel like you are going crazy, or not know what to do at all. Honestly, the best thing you can do is to center your energy and ground yourself. By you doing this, you will also impact the other person’s energy and help them ground and center their own energy without even realizing it. It can help a couple out of that ping pong feeling and allow those feelings of anxiety, depression etc. to shift into peace, happiness and feelings of living in the present. Another common question, has been about someone being an empath in a relationship. Sometimes past issues come up for them causing fear and panic. This causes them to abruptly walk away from the relationship even though they care about the other person. This can be a really hard thing to deal with. I know I myself have dealt with these feeling in a relationship. We all have things called triggers, and it is very common for those triggers to carry on from one relationship to another, even unintentionally. Honestly, you may not even know you have a trigger about something until you start a new relationship. The most common one I have come across has been around communication. Let’s say that you were in a past relationship with someone who kept things from you and lied with the intention of misleading your or hurting you, such as cheating or manipulation. I spent most of my college years in just that scenario. Then, you meet a great person and you are like “yes, this is it”. You start a new relationship and a few months in you start to notice that they are quite or you feel maybe they are being secretive about stuff. Because of your past experience with this emotion, your ego will automatically make you think that the same thing is happening again.  Now there can be many reasons why someone is acting secretive that don’t involve cheating. Perhaps they are dealing with something personal with which they don’t want to burden you. Or, maybe the new relationship is bringing up a trigger for them as well and they are trying to work through it without you thinking they have lost their mind. They may even be having issues with self- worth or feelings of they don’t deserve you. These are very common feelings for an Empath to feel. The best way to avoid a breaking point where someone walks away is to talk about it and be honest about your feelings. This will be a challenge for some as having talks about your feelings can make you feel vulnerable and sometimes you don’t understand your feelings or know how to describe them. You will want to do a few things before asking the other person if “you can talk”. First you will want to make sure you are grounded and your energy is protected before having that kind of conversation. Next, make sure you both have a full stomach, because, let’s face it when someone is hungry, the energy of angry and annoyance can escalate emotions. Also, if you know you need to have one of these kinds of talks, ask the Universe to show you the right time to do so. Then keep yourself open so you see when they tell you the right time is. Also, you don’t want to have this type of conversation when either of you is tired, angry or frustrated about another situation. And, when you speak to the person, it is important not to play the blame game or say things below the belt or make someone feel ashamed of their feelings. That is the fastest way to get an Empath to walk away. Be completely honest with the other person and maybe even share things about yourself and allow yourself to feel vulnerable. This will help open the lines of communication. In my case, I make sure I am grounded and that my partner and I are fed and relaxed. When I feel the time is right, I work certain topics into the conversation. The two Archangels I highly suggest working with in this situation are Archangel Gabriel, who is the Archangel of communication, and Archangel Raguel, who can help with fairness and resolving disagreements.

Another popular question that comes up is what is my biggest recommendation for an Empath? I can’t stress enough the impact that daily affirmations can have on your life as an Empath.  It will help you stay in the moment, focus on yourself, and allow you to be in your own energy instead of feeling everyone else’s. Also another tip is to ask to be disconnected from the mass consciousness before you go to sleep. This will help your mind and body heal while you sleep and allow you to actually sleep better because your mind won’t be racing about things you saw on social media or TV.

Being an Empath is nothing to be afraid or embarrassed of. We are living in a time unlike any other on earth. People are becoming more aware of spirituality. As a whole, we are raising our vibrations as a culture even if it doesn’t feel that way. We are also inundated, like never before, with information and news. If you are an Empath just be aware that you are impacted by these things, especially images you see on television. Our eyes cannot make the distinction between something on television and something that is happening right in front of us. So, when the message gets up to our brain, our mind and body then react accordingly. This may even activate or fight or flight responses which can wreak havoc on our health. Above all love yourself through the process. The more self-love you have the more love…relationships overall.  You will feel more confident in your interactions with people.  The world needs Empaths right now. How to enhance your spiritual vision

cf041c82-2537-4e49-9f15-2e236d69d520I have been on my own journey of expanding my spiritual vision for almost 6 years now. After thinking about it, haven’t most of us been on some kind of spiritual vision quest for most of our lives even if we didn’t realize it. We go through various things in life that take us to that next level in our spiritual talents. Some call it a “gut feeling” some call it “intuition” but more often than not it is the same thing. Sometimes you just get that feeling inside you or perhaps have a vision in your mind that you should just go for something, or stay away. Hopefully, these tools will help you trust in those feelings more and expand your own spiritual vision.

The following is a great exercise to try when trying to open your third eye or expand spiritual insight. I personally tried it and found it incredibly helpful. So, that is why I have recommended it to others and they also experienced great results. Another way to enhance your spiritual vision is through Meditation. Meditation has many benefits that can help in many areas in life and this can be a major one. Often times when we learn to quiet our mind, even if it is just for 10 minutes, we can slow our minds down from the fast pace of life and we can learn things from the connection of spirit that meditation can bring. There are also lots of amazing guided meditations on YouTube that you can watch for free that can really help not only allow you to get in a relaxed state but strengthen your inner vision. Sound can also be another way to not only enhance the meditation experience but also assist you in awakening senses that can enhance your spiritual vision. Helpful sounds could be drumming, singing bowls, chanting, etc. You may start to feel your third eye chakra (the area in the middle of your forehead above both eyes) start to pulse or vibrate. The more you use your spiritual abilities you will find that, over time, this can happen very easily.

A major part of enhancing your spiritual vision is trusting the messages or insights you start to receive. It can take years to truly start to trust yourself and believe that you have accurate insight. So, be sure to have some patience with yourself. Let’s face it. We have all wondered at some point “oh I made that up in my head” or “maybe I am losing my mind.” No one is playing deception with you. Trust what you hear. The more you realize what you heard was right the easier it will become to listen and possibly act on the messages. As part of any journey that awakens a new part of your thinking, it is important to really care for yourself on mind, body and spiritual levels while you are going through this process. I remember when I realized the things I was hearing weren’t in my head I was afraid to fall asleep. I thought if I did I would wake up and my abilities and insight would be gone. Once I got over that fear, I learned over the years that once the light switch per say is flipped on the only reason if will turn off is if you ask for it to shut down. You always have the ability to “shut down” should you become overwhelmed or feel that you are experiencing things that you don’t want to experience. But, if you decide you want to remain open, you will. So, it is important to treat your mind and body well so you don’t burnout during the process. Just stay positive, have patience, and practice your spiritual vision. Then, the whole world can open up to you.

Healing: The Power of Prayer & Where to start

39a95572-9d38-49de-87e4-842eac267f7aWe have all been on quite the healing journey. I know personally, a lot of past issues have made my own healing process more challenging. Being a believer in faith and in the power of prayer means not having to understand and almost having blind faith about your life. How it that, for example, we could go our entire is lives without seeing an elephant and still know they exist?  Many people cannot wrap their heads around the concept of knowing something exists without ever seeing it. Isn’t that the base core of faith? It can be difficult as it’s easy to get frustrated and see other people getting better while you feel you are stuck in this never ending process. Someone once told me, “the harder the process, the greater the purpose.” Along my own process, I have been desperate and seeking a miracle. If I could have, I would have gone to some remote island and drunk the water if someone told me it would help. I’ve watched online ministers and thrown my hands in the air believing with all my heart.

Recently, I had an amazing opportunity to see The Ancient Crystal Skull “Synergy” & caretaker Sherry Whitefield. I was introduced to crystal skulls about two years ago and then soon started my own little collection. I have to be honest; years ago I did not really understand what skulls were all about and what they represented. Skulls are actually incredible spiritual tools, and it would be through this experience I would learn just how much. Synergy is known as the skull of Joy, Laughter & Compassion. Synergy’s energetic frequency is so strong, that it can be felt over 40 miles away. If one person raises their vibration, that same person can impact 10,000 other people to raise their vibrations and so on. A few things the skull lets you do is leave behind, your fears, worry etc, so you can than expand to who you are meant to be. An experience with Synergy and Sherry is really a life changing experience where I have personally experienced deep impactful healing. Manifestation: Abundance, Prosperity & Wealth!

Let’s face it we could all use some more abundance, prosperity and wealth in our lives. I know when I first started learning to manifest, I was so worried I would do it incorrectly and screw it all up, but the good news is, you really can’t do it wrong. Regardless of what method or tools you decide to use to manifest with, 99% of it is the intention behind it. So, unless you are asking for lack of abundance, prosperity or wealth, you’re good. Here are some of the things I like to work with when doing manifestation work:

Before you begin, make sure you have a clear picture of the outcome that you desire. Try writing it down as many times as necessary until you have it just right. Make sure you are clear and specific with your intention. Remember that is mostly your own magic that brings your manifested desires into reality.

First you may choose to set up a place in your home specifically for this purpose. It will help you better visualize your intentions; much like a 3D vision board. You may choose to decorate your altar with stones, crystals or even statues. A good statue for an altar for abundance, prosperity & wealth would be Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of exactly that. You can find a statue of her in many sizes, colors, etc. You can even frame a photo you love instead of using a statue. You can also use stones or herbs depending on your liking. This will help increase the energy vibrations of your manifestation. Citrine, Rose Quartz and Aventurine are all good choices for stones, especially for beginners. Other tools you can use are binaural beats for manifesting abundance. Song has great power in shifting energy. So, you can either listen to it while thinking of your intention, or perhaps listen to it while falling asleep at night.

A personal favorite of mine is the Rose of Jericho. I have to admit when I first came across it, I was unsure of how it would work. I made sure I followed the directions as explained in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5tXfQOPwYI by the shop owner from whom I purchased it. I used holy water in the bowl and, to try it, I used pennies and asked that each penny represented $100. Once the plant had opened into a full bloom I placed 13 pennies in it and then let the plant close back up and then reopen. Within a week, I received the $1,300 I had asked for from the manifestation exercise. So be prepared when you use the Rose of Jericho because wealth will find its way to you.

When you are doing any kind of manifestation work, besides a solid intention, you may find that you want to work with an affirmation while the Universe is bringing you your desires. You may want to include something such as “I am worthy of the abundance coming my way”, or “My income is constantly increasing,” these will allow you to stay true in your belief that your intention was heard by the Universe and the Divine is assisting you to reach your goals.

And finally, be sure to express gratitude not only when you receive it, but while it is still manifesting. Go in with the attitude that it is already done! Express gratitude every day for it as you never know the unexpected ways the Universe will provide it for you. Be realistic with it while practicing then after a while you can work your way up to becoming a millionaire!

You may find that when you try to live a life of abundance on a regular basis, the more abundance and prosperity will find its way to you. Even if you can add in one activity that can help you live an abundant life instead of a scarcity mindset, you will notice how your life will start to change. Below you will find a list of characteristic of living in abundance by having an abundance consciousness or living a in a scarcity mindset.

Abundance Consciousness

  • Accept responsibility for their failures.
  • Continuously learn.
  • Embrace change.
  • Exude joy.
  • Forgive others.
  • Give other people credit for their victories.
  • Have a sense of gratitude.
  • Keep a “to-be” list.
  • Keep a journal.
  • Operate from a transformational perspective.
  • Read every day. Talk about ideas.
  • Set goals and develop life plans.
  • Share information and data.
  • Want others to succeed.

Scarcity Mindset

  • Blame others for their failures.
  • Don’t know what they want to be.
  • Exude anger.
  • Fear change.
  • Fly by their seat of their pants.
  • Have a sense of entitlement.
  • Hold a grudge.
  • Horde information and data.
  • Never set goals.
  • Operate from a transactional perspective.
  • Say they keep a journal but really don’t.
  • Secretly hope others fail.
  • Take all the credit for their victories.
  • Talk about people.
  • Think they know it all.
  • Watch TV every day.

In the end, have fun with your manifestation work and do not be afraid to try new things and see how they work for you. Add in your own spiritual tools that you may already know and love. Make the manifestation work your own and that will make it even more powerful!

Clearing your Space: Insight & Tips

Energetically, everything that every happens in our space leaves a residue of energy that can become imprinted in the space. Illness, doubt, arguments, negative emotions, trauma, grief and even everyday energetic junk that you pick up throughout the day can build up around the rooms of your space.  Smudging your space will help remove or shift that build-up in your space, creating a higher frequency of light and positive energy to flow throughout. Many people can find doing this overwhelming and don’t know where to start. You will want to clear your space at least once a year. But, I also recommended if you are going through a major life change such as beginning or ending a career, relationship, recovering from a long illness or injury, selling or moving into a new space or simply feeling stuck in general. It is important to know the limits of your ability when clearing space. Some spaces need someone who has had training in space clearing, particularly when dealing with harder energy such as illness, breakups or a death in the space. By smudging your space on a regular basis will also help prevent the harder energies from getting stuck or stagnate. Here are some basic tips if you practice smudging at home or want to start.

What will I need to get started?  

  • Abalone Shell
  • Feather
  • Herb with which you want to smudge with (see list below for various types and meaning)

You will want to get an Abalone shell to catch any ash that may happen as you smudge so it doesn’t end up making a mess on your floors. Some of the items also may be hot and this will prevent you from directly holding the hot object.

The feather can be any kind of feather. The feather will help you spread the smoke throughout your space so you get it in ever place it is needed.

You can usually find a starter kit on places like Amazon or Ebay for a reasonable price if you are just getting started.

What is the best herb to use?

Most people think that white sage is the only thing you can smudge with hence the name saging a space. However, there are actually quite a variety of things you can use. Here is a small list of alternatives to white sage and what it is best used for.

Black Sage: Is a powerful protective herb and will help purify and clean the energy while also raising your consciousness towards higher realms.

Blue Sage: Also known as the “Grandmother Sage” has purifying properties and provides spiritual strength and can remove darker energy. The wonderful scent of Blue Sage can also leave a very relaxing and refreshing scent in your space.

Cedar Sage: Used for cleansing, clearing and blessing space.

Dakota Sage: Commonly used by Plains Indians. You can use Dakota Sage to help with illnesses such as headaches, coughs, stomach issues and more. It is also good if you live in any area with a high mosquito population and will keep them out of your space.

Desert Sage: Used to purify the mind, body and soul before prayer, ceremonies and rituals.

Palo Santo: Spiritual remedy for purifying, cleansing and getting rid of evil spirits, misfortune and calamity.

Sweet Grass: Helps attract positive energy, good spirits and helping people’s attitudes.

White Sage: Purifying energy, protection, and dispersing negativity.

Yerba Santa: A holy & sacred herb known for healing properties. Best to use if clearing illness from a space.

You may also find a variety of herbs or flowers mixed in with white sage such as lavender, rosemary, roses, etc. Each of these contain elements such as love, relaxation and healing and will only enhance the benefits of the clearing.

Where do I start?

To begin you will want to start by creating sacred space. Here is a simple prayer you can use http://thefourwinds.com/prayer-for-opening-sacred-space/

Next, once you have all your materials and decide what herb is the best for your space, you will want to take a lighter or a match and light the herb so it gets a nice smoke going and place it in the Abalone shell.

Then you will want to pick a starting point. I personally like to start with the front door, but if you are feeling that you are being guided to start at a certain point in your space, follow that feeling. You are being guided there for a reason.  The most important thing is from your starting point, you will want to move clockwise through your space and open a window to allow the old energy to leave.

While going through each room in your space, state your intentions for clearing. What you would like to clear and any prayer or blessings you would like to welcome into you space. In a professional clearing, the act of clearing the space and bringing in blessings may be done at separate times.

Feel free to also call in any angels to whom you feel connected. Archangel Michael is a great angel to call in for space clearing.

Once you go around your whole space and end up back at your start point, you will want to extinguish what you used to clear the space. I like to have a small bowl of sea salt, or himalayan salt that I use to stop it from smoking.

Be sure to thank any angels you called in and then you will want to close sacred space. To do this simply thank all the directions for being a part of your space clearing session. I also like to thank Mother Earth and the energy of the particular town in which I am clearing space.

 What if I live or work in a space where I can’t have an open flame?

There are a few options you can use if for whatever reason you are not allowed to have an open flame or smoky items in your space. I love to work with smokeless sage products for those kinds of spaces or a quick fix to clear myself after dealing with yucky or hard energy. My two favorite products are the Sage and Peppermint Clearing and Blessing Spray and the Palo Santo Munay (Love) Blessing and Clearing Spray by Embody the Sacred. The other option you have available, is sound. Sound is a great option in any space and it helps break up stagnant energy and heal sick energy. You can use a singing bowl, tuning fork or bell. If you don’t have access to any of those items simply find a good YouTube video with those items and play them in your space. For double duty, you can play the music while you are smudging the space with your herbs.

Questioning Faith as a Spiritual Being

f8ac41d5-5cab-4a93-8ea1-a8dd8dc3a52cGrowing up, I don’t remember how I originally learned about God, or what my faith was or meant to me. Let me take you on a quick journey with my relationship with my faith. As a young Catholic girl, my family would frequently visit church on Sunday morning’s for choir practice, CCD and Church. This continued for years until I made my first communion. Then, my parents gave me the choice of whether or not I wanted to continue to go to church after that. Being a young child I thought my Sunday’s would be better spent doing something else so I stopped going. I suppose from a very young age I felt that God was all around and that I could talk to him whenever I needed to without going to church. I believed that there was no distance between us. Even though I was thought God was too busy with more important things and I shouldn’t bother him with my problems. Despite not going to church, I continued to pray and have what I thought was a relationship with God.

Once I reached high school, one of my best friends was taking confirmation classes. So, I asked if I could join her for the classes knowing that someday I may want to marry in a church. I got my confirmation and that was that for at least another decade. At this point in my life I had finished college and was just about ready to graduate from grad school. One New Year’s Eve I went out with one of my friends who was very religious. In the wee hours of the New Year, we got to talking about a book she had read called “A Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. She said something that always stuck with me. She said “God is your best friend and he wants to have that type of relationship with you” This perplexed me because even though I knew God was there, why would I bother him with my problems. But, what if I had been looking at this all wrong? What if I went into prayer and God already knew what I wanted to talk about, because God does, so what if I just laid it all on the line while talking to him. What if I started talking to God as if he was my best friend? How would that change who I was or what I was open to?

I was so moved by this book that I started giving it as gifts to other people in an effort to help them to discover their own relationship with God. Now, just so I am clear, not everything else in my life during this time was amazing. In fact, this enlightenment led to more questions as I struggled with death, health and purpose. I thought I had life all figured out and then, things went downhill. You know how people say we hurt the ones close to us when we get mad. Well, maybe we do this because we know they love us so even if we get mad and yell they will be there for us in the end. So, even if I got mad at God he would forgive me because he would see beyond the pain behind the anger. In 2012, a dear friend of mine committed suicide. In hindsight, the Universe was preparing me for this for a good two months before it happened. Then I started thinking I could have changed something for that person and made the outcome different. About the third day into my grief I was so mad that I couldn’t think straight I would walk someplace and not remember why or how I had gotten there. I was mad at the person who left me, but I wasn’t at a place where I was ready to talk to God about it yet because on some level he knew it was going to happen and knew all this pain it would cause the ones left to deal with it. Then in 2014 I got sick to point my body was just giving out on me. At this point I could hear and talk with Spirits and Angels. Yet, I felt like, spiritually, everyone had abandoned me and left me to struggle alone. I know that wasn’t the case and there was some lesson I was supposed to learn from it and change the course of my life. The process somehow made me more understanding of people who have experienced similar events. Then, just recently in December of 2015 I ended up back in the hospital with the same Autoimmune Disorder I had been struggling with for 17 years. I was hospitalized again in January and March of this year. It felt like an endless cycle that once again I had to face on my own spiritually. Anytime I tried to get insight on the situation for myself all I would get is that I needed all my energy to deal with the physical response my body was making me deal with.

I can’t tell you how many times I wondered why or what did I do to deserve this or go through it. Then, one day I was watching the “Belief” series on OWN Network and a young boy said it is part of our right of having faith to question it at times. “Faith is daring the soul to go beyond what the eye can see” We can’t see faith so instinctively there are going to be times when we question its validity because we don’t understand it. When we don’t get why someone dies, or someone we love gets sick or what the hell the journey is all about. Truth is, we may never know why but I can assure you of this, through everything God never stops being that best friend to us even if we don’t recognize him in that role. There is a reason and we don’t have to go through things alone. Your never know what someone else has been through unless you open up about it on some level. It’s all part of the growing process. I use to think that if I spoke about my challenges people would think less of me. Would putting my challenges out to the Universe by verbalizing them make them worse? But, as part of this growth process, I have realized the last five months, that having health issues, really challenging ones, doesn’t define who I am as a being. It is not the only thing that God knows me as or what I have to be to people.

The moral of the story is that you may have highs and lows in your faith just as in life. But, just because you have a strong faith or live a spiritual life doesn’t mean that you have to be in the high parts all the time. Even when you are in the lows know that someone else is there with you through family struggles, health issues, finances or just finding purpose in life someone is there with you. Sometimes it’s about extending that arm for them to know you are there too. We don’t have to keep our struggles to ourselves anymore. In fact when we do they only get worse. Within the struggle growth happens and after the growth our faith expands and our relationship with God gets more understood as its life progresses. It’s ok to feel certain ways and get mad. No matter how far we push, faith is like a gravitational pull that keeps us going even in the darkness. Just be you with God because he already knows anything you want to say. When we stop being fake with God we stop being fake with ourselves and that is really when healing happens and questions can be answered. We vary off course but that’s okay. It is all part of the course. So, don’t worry you are not alone! So if you are struggling with faith or any other issue reach out we can be stronger in it together than digging in the trenches alone.
