Making a New Year’s Resolution for your Soul…

soul resolution

As a New Year is upon us, we can be inundated with resolutions, goals, and wanting to create better lives for ourselves. Rightfully so, but I have found that a lot of people take a physical approach to these New Year’s Resolutions, like getting healthier, work out, “go on a diet” (a pretty popular one), stopping bad habits etc. It is not that these are bad resolutions. In fact I have known a lot of people who have done them, my self included. We can put a lot of pressure on ourselves when it comes to these resolutions. We set a big expectation of ourselves that is hard to always accomplish. For example, losing 30lbs in a month, although feasible, but not healthy, it is also not sustainable in the long term. For many years my New Year’s Resolution revolved around a physical piece of my life. Something that I could see.  Somehow, that meant it was more real. Most of the time, the resolution would fall to the important things to do mid to late January. In fact, none of my successful physical resolutions were ever made at the “New Year”.

Around 2011, I decided that I needed some inner work done on my soul level. Sometimes it is the unseen that needs the most work! Some can appear to have it all together on the outside, but are having a tough time in ways that cannot physically show. I was horrible at taking a compliment. So horrible in fact, that some people would say “can’t you take a compliment”. It would make me so uncomfortable if someone said something nice to me, that I didn’t know how to respond. So I would either over justify, if someone complimented a piece of clothing, purse, shoes etc and explain what a deal I got which, by the way, most people don’t care unless they specifically ask you where you got those items from. Or I would sometimes end up putting myself down to the person who gave the compliment to the point that they would doubt why they said it in the first place. Either way it was uncomfortable all around. I knew it was an area about myself that I didn’t like and wanted to change. So, in 2011 I made my first New Year’s “Soul Resolution”. Something that would benefit my soul and ultimately shine out onto my physical being.  So, for that whole year I decided that if someone gave me a compliment of any kind, I would say “Thank You.” Not thank you, I got them on sale, or thank you but… just thank you. I cut out the over justification and the awkwardness. Sometimes people want you to return the compliment. But, that’s a different story. For me to do what I needed to do, I had to say “thank you,” and move on.  Was I successful in that every day, NO. But somehow because it wasn’t a physical resolution like a diet that could be broken by a bagel on January 2nd but was a core being change that would take time. I just had to take it day by day. Somedays I did well and somedays I needed improvement but that was ok.

As the years went on, I tried to tackle harder things in my soul. For instance, one year I decided I was going to no longer live in fear. Fear is one resolution I may have to make for many years as it is so difficult to overcome. One year, I decided that I was not going to doubt God’s plan or think my life would be a practical joke, and to trust Him. Another year, I focused on Self-Love. This past year, I tackled worry. I joke that I was probably worrying in my mother’s womb. Somehow worry just consumed me and stressed me out, kept me up at night and just overall consumed my thoughts. Again, somedays I did well on this, and somedays I needed to take notes so I could do better the next day. But, as this year is coming to a close, I will tell you that in hindsight that I handle worry very differently than I did at this time last year. Do I still worry, yes, but I focus my energy differently. Instead of only focusing on the worry and the undesired outcomes, I redirect my thoughts to the positive. Now this is not new information that thinking positively will help your life. I am here to tell you that “if you think you can, you will,” and that works both ways. I have also noticed that I don’t lay awake pondering things that I once worried about, because they are all things over which I have no control. I would often recite this Serenity Prayer: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.” I create a new habit within me to better deal with my worry, just like I did with trusting God’s plan, fear, and taking a compliment.

Will we lose 20lbs overnight, it’s not likely. Will we stop worrying overnight? That is highly unlikely also. But, if we get up each day and try our best, and recognize that each day what our best is may change and that is ok. As long as you are giving all you’ve got, even if it’s a two on a scale of a hundred, you are still giving your best. Every year, month, week and day is the opportunity to achieve your goal or desire. As for myself, I knew I had to clear out some old things before those new things fell into place. And for me, it worked, but I am still a work in progress. It didn’t happen overnight. But, as time went on, I noticed, “Oh I dealt with that better, or I am redirecting that thought etc.” For those who may be interested, here is the full serenity prayer that can be helpful for a variety of things you may be going through.

“God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next.
Amen.”

Serenity Prayer (Full Text)

I hope you will join me this year and every year in taking a Soulful approach to your New Year’s Resolutions. If anything, it can help you work on areas that you need to before the physical ones are ready to unfold.

The Day I Met Santa…

santa

The story of Santa Clause is one a lot of us grew up knowing and experiencing the Magic that was “Santa” from songs about good old Saint Nick to leaving out milk and cookies for him on Christmas Eve. I remember being young and thinking “how does he get around the world in one night?” Modern technology now helps us track Santa through his special journey Christmas Eve. But, as we get older, for some reason culture tells us that it is not cool or acceptable to believe in something magical or that we cannot understand with our logical minds. I am going to share with you a story that I have not shared with many people. But, I feel it is essential to fill the world back with some hope or magic this Holiday Season.

When I was 29, I had a profound experience on the Winter Solstice in 2012. That experience seemingly awakened my soul and put me on the path to my Spirituality. It awakened it from all the years of slumber from that part of myself. Ever since that day, I have seen the magic first hand that can be had at this time of year. Some call it a Christmas Miracle, some the Winter Solstice and others call it December 21st. Most of my life, I had experienced health issues, mostly various autoimmune challenges. As my soul was going through this new found awakening, some of those issues came to a cataclysmic moment. Three years later in 2015, I found myself laying in a hospital bed the week before Christmas. Although things weren’t as bad as they had been in the past, or in hindsight as bad as they were going to get, no one loves being in the hospital, especially right before the holidays.

See, you may be asking what exactly had happened to me on December 21, 2012. That was a day, if you remember, many people had speculated about since it was the last day of the Mayan Calendar. Many of us now know that day was a day that the energy changed in the world and it was like a veil had been lifted. Well that was the day when, for whatever reason, the light switch inside of me turned on and with it all of my Spiritual gifts. It was on that day that I realized that I had been suppressing my connection with Spirit. Throughout my life, I have always been able to sense things. But, I often ignored them or pretended they did not exist. I could be in a space and know that something else was there with me and get a sense of energy from it. I know that others can sense things also. But, many times we think it is bad or scary energy because we do not understand what it is. The unknown is often an unsettling experience. Usually, right before I would fall asleep, I would hear people talking to me or calling my name, and sometimes saying things I wasn’t sure I wanted to hear. I remember thinking, “why do they always want to talk to me right before I am about to go to sleep?” Well, that was because, at that time in my life, that was the only time my vibrations were high enough to be open to receiving the messages. I knew energy and spirits were around and there was this whole universal aspect of life. But, I was not sure I was ready to fully embrace that part of who I was. I continued to live my life that way for many years, and had done an excellent job suppressing them, or so I had thought. When that switch flipped everything became clear and yet so much to learn, and so many more questions. That day on the Winter Solstice was a day I stepped into my full relationship with Spirit, the Divine and awakened to my purpose.

So, in 2015, as I was laying in that hospital bed contemplating life, and trying my best to focus on the Christmas magic I could still harness even if I was not at a magical Winter Solstice event, it happened. That was when I saw Santa Clause walk through my hospital wall.

I may have just lost some of you for a moment, so let me repeat that, Santa Clause walked through the wall. Red suit, holly jolly, Saint Nick…

The hospital can be a very active place for someone who is sensitive to energy, or who can see and hear Spirits. But, never in my life did I expect to see that. Surprisingly, my first thought was not fear or disbelief, but I remember thinking, “Ok, things are about to get interesting!” As Santa walked closer to my bed, I did what any person would do. I said hi Santa. He walked over to my bedside and held my right hand. As he did this, he shared his trade secrets with me and my mind was officially blown. In that moment I remember thinking, this makes SO much sense. Before I tell you precisely what Santa said, it is important to understand that everything is an energy frequency. Even as humans we are made up of billions of particles that are made out of energy and therefore, we are energy. And, anything is possible if you tap into the right frequency of that energy.

Here is what Santa told me. He said, “If Spirit is energy and energy can be anywhere, then all of us have been looking at Santa the wrong way.” He is not a physical man that comes down our chimneys at night, and leave us physical gifts under the tree, but does something much more important. Santa is energy. Whether believing is seeing, or seeing is believing. Santa is Spirit energy, just like how the Universe is energy and we know there is something larger than ourselves in the Universe. Because Santa is this energetic frequency he can be anywhere and everywhere all at the same time.  Spirit frequency knows no time, and therefore time does not exist. So, that solved the question to how he travels around the world in one night and visits every child while they sleep. What he continued to tell me was that every Christmas Eve, he visits the hearts of every child and person who believes in the magic of Christmas. Even though, he doesn’t come in physical form, but energetically, he delivers the most powerful and profound gift to those believers. To a child or adult who has an open heart to the power of belief, he gives them the gift of “Christmas Spirit.” Christmas Spirit is something that will mean different things for different people. For some it is peace of earth, kindness to other people, the Charity of giving, and helping those in need, good tidings and cheer. For others, it may mean something else. But, the magic of Christmas, the kind of magic that can bring miracles is the Christmas Spirit. That frequency of peace, joy, blessings and gratitude for all that we already have in our lives. That kind of frequency that could bring peace on earth, if every person opened their heart to it more. To me, that is the most important gift of all; one that is surrounded in unconditional love from the Universe, from God. Miracles, Kindness, belief, peace and happiness to the Human Soul. So, as Santa stood there holding my hand, he asked me if my heart was open to receiving the Christmas Spirit. Of course I said yes! As he leaned down and kissed my forehead to give me the gift of the Christmas Spirit, I felt the cells in my body  as they reawakened to the magic that Santa Clause has just gifted me. As, the Spirit of Christmas was now inside of me, he said his goodbyes, gave me an old-fashioned Santa wink of his eye, touched my nose with his finger and said, “see you next year.” Then, he left the way he came and walked back through the wall, off to deliver the Christmas Spirit to another person.

The next day, the doctors let me go home. Some may not view it as a Christmas Miracle, but given my visitor the night before, I sure considered it as one. Since that day, I have seen Christmas differently. It is not about a gift under the tree. It is in fact about filling our hearts with the magic of the “Christmas Spirit” and all the other forms of spiritual gifts that come from tapping into its energy.

So, this Holiday Season, as life may have brought you in a direction that makes it hard to believe in Santa, or perhaps you and your family want to incorporate a new tradition, one that doesn’t cost anything, but will give you the best gift. I encourage you to try and open your hearts to the magic that can be had and experienced, by believing, and allowing the Spirit of Santa to give you the most important gift you can get at Christmas… The Christmas Spirit.

A Spiritual approach to De-Clutter your life & why it’s important…

This year, more than ever, I felt surrounded by “stuff”! On all levels, I was cluttered. In my mind, my surroundings and everything felt like it was busting at the seams. I would both physically and energetically clean my space, and yet it would still feel like something was off. Then I realized that I had to start to de-clutter my life. Truth is I was a much different person when I was in my twenties than I was in my mid-thirties. In my twenties, it was “things” that I collected that were fake fulfilling me. When looking back, I was an internal mess in my twenties. At one point I had 100 pairs of shoes. A) I am not proud of that and B) no one needs that many shoes. Reality is most of the shoes hurt my feet and I never wore them or wore them once, but kept them for some kind of sentimental value. We will discuss this shortly. When I turned thirty, I had a shift. It wasn’t because I was in a new decade of my life. Things that once made me happy were suddenly not as fulfilling as they once were. I had a dramatic overhaul of shifts in perspective. Suddenly, material items like brand names, bags, belts, jewelry, shoes etc were not what made me happy anymore. To be honest, those things never did. They only masked the internal clutter I was trying to hide such as my stress, unhappiness, depression, anger, frustration and other emotions I didn’t want to feel and more. Without realizing it, I had formed unhealthy attachments to objects. I bought them to fill a void. It didn’t work.

So, even though it took about 5 years for this shift to fully come into perspective, and probably even longer. I found myself at 35 and wondering what the heck to do with all this stuff? When you go through a major life overhaul it can be overwhelming. So, I suggest you start in steps. If you are like me, make a list of the steps you want to take. You will want to have three lists going for yourself, and sub-lists within each list. The first list is all of the clutter that fills up your mind. All the things you worry about over which you have no control. That one was first on my list and I have been working on that for a good three years and I will probably be a work in progress on that for the rest of my life.  Then you want to write down on that list as well, all the people that hold space in your head that don’t deserve to. I speak from experience! Cut them free from your head or send them a rent bill every month, because it is not worth it. Forgive them, forgive yourself and then let it go, and repeat if and when necessary. Then, write everything else on the list that clutters your head. Like, finances, security etc. Then, go through the list and cross off things over which you have no control. Automatically, those get cut and let go. I never thought a day would come where I would complain and say, I am paying too much for my phone bill or my cable bill. But, the day came. If finances are something that fills your head with clutter, the best thing you can do it actually look at them. See where you stand. See where you can adjust and make changes. What is each worth for you to keep in your life? Call the vendors you work with and see if there is any way they can lower your monthly bill. For me, I looked at my bills, I decided to get rid of cable. Yes, it took some adjustment. But, I was already paying a membership to Amazon Prime and had access to Netflix so spending over $100 just in cable didn’t make sense. Just like 100 pairs of shoes, I didn’t need to be watching that much TV anyway. I wanted quiet in my life and to be able to hear nature. I changed car insurance companies where I actually got more for less money. My point is to look at areas of your life and see where the money is going and adjust where you can and how you can. It doesn’t happen overnight, but the shift happens and then it becomes your comfortable place. Finances are hard for people. They are often the area that keeps people in places they don’t want to be any more for many different reasons. Make financial choices that your future self will thank you for. The next two lists may be harder believe it or not.

Energetically and physically clear your space. Energetically; everything that ever happens in our space leaves a residue of energy that can become imprinted in the space. Illness, doubt, arguments, negative emotions, trauma, grief and even every day energetic junk that you pick up can build up in the rooms of your space. Prosperity, high vibration, and abundance have a difficult time in lower vibration spaces. So, remove the clutter, organize, and make room for new. A rule that I have personally followed is that, if you have not used it in six months, get rid of it. Let’s be honest, we do not always have this “urge to purge”, or clean up. But, when your body tells you it is time, listen to it and just go with it. That is the absolute best time to go through your closet, cabinets, etc. When you get that urge to organize and clean things out, your emotions will less likely to interfere with your decisions of whether or not to keep sweatpants you love but can no longer wear because they are so worn out, or the CD you bought in 1998 that you now have in your digital music collection. Which organizing my digital library is also on my declutter list, as well as organizing my computer files. But like I said, let’s take small steps.  If you are the type of person who doesn’t get that urge that is ok too; try to do a good de-clutter at the change of each season. Take that feeling and drive and make a “physical things” list. This was definitely where I saw the shift happen. Like I said, I had a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff I simply didn’t use anymore. And, not only did I have stuff in my home, I also had some at my parent’s house too. (I know they will read this and say to themselves and you still do…again I am self-proclaimed work in progress.) Like I said before, the basic rule to de-clutter anything is; if you haven’t used it in six months it is time to let it go. This is where keeping things for sentimental reasons can come into play. You may not even want to do a list for the physical stuff and just start purging. When you have one of those moods where you just want to clean, that is your best time to do it. You will not be influenced by your emotions to keep that t-shirt from that place, a person visited and brought back for you that you never wear. No! It’s time to let that go. Now, when I decided to go through this phase I also took on being better to the environment. So, I didn’t want to throw anything away. Everything I was letting go of either had to be donated, given to a friend who wanted it, or recycled. So, make a pile of what is what. When I questioned an item, I put it in the Goodwill pile. I had a lot of really nice expensive things that I was going to let friends get first dibs on and so those went in a separate pile. The one thing I definitely came to terms with while I was doing this was that I had more than one bad habit in my twenties besides smoking. The first rule to any recovery process is admitting you have a problem. I had a big one on my hands that I didn’t want anymore. Like the shoes, I had to have because they matched my bag. Guess what, I never wore them. I bet if I added up everything I donated it would come to thousands of dollars. Someone said, “why don’t you sell these things”?  Honestly, I was at the point I just wanted to give them a new life. If they were just going to sit in my closet like they had for the last six years, it was time to let it go and cut my losses. It got to the point where a friend asked me in a concerned voice, “why are you getting rid of all your stuff”? Are you planning on moving across the world or going somewhere”? I simply told them, “I just have too much and it is an older version of myself that I no longer am, and I am ready to let that go and free myself from that version of myself.” Now listen closely people. We all have those one pair of pants or that one item that looked amazing 15 to 20lbs ago that we hang on to as a goal. It is time to let those go as well. Now, this is a multilayered physical list that, for some, may require years to fully work through and that is ok. Besides Goodwill, I also like to donate to Dress for Success, and a local organization that helps families get back on their feet after disasters like house fires etc. Maybe you want to donate your items to a church or organization you like to work with. The point is let the items you are no longer using get a fresh start with someone who needs them. It may take you longer to spread the wealth and find new homes. For instance; you have tons of new bottles of hand lotion that you know you are never going to use.  For those who can’t afford such a luxury your donation would be like a lottery win. There are a lot of women’s shelters and shelters in general that will take items off of your hands. Re-gain your energy, space and emotional well-being. You will be amazed at how accomplished, happy, lighter and at ease, you will feel once you declutter your space. Only then will you see how the clutter was impacting you. I always found that when my home felt cluttered my overall life felt cluttered and stagnant. Even after days of work and many bags of things to drop off at donation locations, I still felt like there was a lot left. But again, I am a work in progress. I, at least, got the Chi moving in my space and it was starting to feel good. In the right space, you can accomplish your dreams. Sometimes that space is outside of you, and sometimes it is internally. And, if you’re lucky, you’re outside surroundings start to match your internal cleansing process.

The last list is all the internal things you need to de-clutter which takes the longest and is often the most stubborn and challenging. Looking back I think I have been de-cluttering my soul all my life. At least feels that way. Now, I wouldn’t suggest trying to do everything at once like I did, because it can often times it can feel like a crash diet where you are setting yourself up for failure. There were many times during the soul part of the de-clutter I felt like a failure, that I need to be better, do better, and be the best version of myself I could be. Again, I think this list is one we work all of our lives because on because as humans we are constantly evolving, changing, upgrading ourselves, working through things, dissolving toxic relationships even with ourselves, and working on boundaries. Not to even mention all of the past life stuff we internally hold. If you are empathic, you are also carrying everyone else’s “stuff” you are carrying around with you also.  There is no quick fix when it comes to de-cluttering your soul. But, when you combine these lists that is where you start to see the impact on your soul. During my de-cluttering phase, I took a look at my actions, limitations, how I was treating and caring for my body, soul as well as others, and environment. I stopped using straws and reduced the amount of trash I had, and focus on how I was impacting the environment. I started taking better care of my skin, and feeling my feelings and not filling them with things. I looked at foods that I was putting in my body and how they were processed. I worked on my feelings towards myself and removed fears and triggers. This is also when you have to learn to say “NO”. Not only to other people that are causing these triggers for you but to yourself as well. No, you don’t need that etc. Whenever I “wanted to buy” something, I slept on that decision overnight and 99% of the time I didn’t want it anymore. And, yes that is something I will have to continue to work on every day. But, when you become more fulfilled internally than externally, you don’t need all this “stuff”. I used to look at the world’s problems as something that was too big for me to fix and it was so overwhelming. It is as if Humans are literally hoarding the Earth and there was nothing that I could do to make that better. But, I was wrong. I could stop contributing to the problem. By going through this process, I not only think about what I am buying from a financial standpoint, but I have a different perspective of need and want after purging my life. So, I accumulate less. I also realized that with no cable my life isn’t any less than it was and I am not missing out on that and I find less clutter in my mind. It doesn’t mean that now I am naive to the world. I just view it differently and choose to live a slower pace without the noise whenever I possibly can.

Now, this really only scratches the surface of the infinite possibilities of shifts you can experience when you de-clutter your life. Again, you will want to have patience with yourself. Don’t try and do everything at once as you may find yourself in a mind, body and soul clutter mess. Also, don’t give yourself false expectations that they next day you are suddenly going to feel amazing. Especially on the mental and soul clutter items. Now, to really de-clutter your life could take years. If that is the pace is right for you, that is ok. I still have a ton of de-cluttering left to do myself and I would imagine I will be doing it for a while still, if not my whole life. But, I do know that this process has really, for the first time, allowed me to let go of the past that I really needed to let go! Release, forgive and move forward to my present and the future me that I am building every day. One that feels fulfilled on the inside because of healthy relationships, friendship and love of myself and purpose rather than one who collects “just in case items” for a non-existing use or need.

Finally, once I have physically and energetically cleaned my home, I am started feeling like I could take a deep breath. Remember, you are going to have ups and downs and that is ok. It is not a sprint, it’s a marathon and all you can do is wake up each day and do the best you can that day and that is enough. Nothing more, nothing less than your best. Every day you have the opportunity to be the person you know you can be mistakes and all. It’s a small piece in a big picture, but can have a wonderful impact on your overall life. You don’t need to get rid of everything you own to declutter your life. It is more about the learning process that organizing and process of an item with a purpose offers. You have all you need inside of you to feel fulfilled without trying to clutter your mind, body & soul.  I hope something in this month’s blog helps you on the path to finding it.

Mindfulness In Everyday Life…

We live in a multi-tasking world. As a society, we are checking our phones, checking emails, over-thinking about the day ahead of us, watching children, listening to conversations at work, thinking about our personal lives, health, love and goals and most of the time, we are doing all of this as we are driving, eating, walking and carrying on another conversation. Sometimes, when we are not being mindful, we can even affect our emotional system in negative ways, such as:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Obsessive-Compulsive disorder
  • Relationship problems
  • Substance abuse

What if we could slow the mind down and actually be present in every moment of our day? What would that look like and how could that make us feel?  Mindfulness is a form of being present in our own lives and being an active participant in the moments that make up our day. This applies even to little things.

I cannot tell you how many times I have left my house in the morning questioning if I left the straightener plugged in. I found myself driving wondering if I would find the fire department at my house when I got back. I do not straighten my hair every day. On the days I do, I get out of my routine and am not paying attention to the activities I am doing because I am so consumed by leaving the house at a certain time. I had to literally stop everything I was doing and focus my attention on the act of unplugging the straightener in order for me to stop living in this state of anxiety over what I may or may or may not have done before leaving the house.  My acts of not being mindful include, leaving for vacation, driving 2 hours, then turning around and driving back 2 hours the same day because I could not remember if I left the stove on. One of the most plaguing of all is I am in such a rush to leave the house, that I can’t remember if I locked the door, or left something on. There are many times I am at the end of my driveway, turn around and go back in to check everything over in a mindful state. And, I think we can all relate to the drive to or from work and we do not remember how we actually got there.

There are many mental, spiritual and physical benefits derived from practicing Mindfulness, some include:

  • A zest for life attitude
  • Allows you to become fully aware and engaged in daily activities
  • Creates deeper connections with people in your life and enhances personal relationships
  • Reduces feeling of worry about the past and future and can overall reduce stress levels
  • Provides a more restful night sleep
  • Creates a stronger sense of overall Faith in your life

Forms of Mindfulness meditation have also been shown to be helpful in reducing blood pressure and reducing the symptoms of chronic pain. If you are just beginning and want to introduce Mindfulness into your daily activities it is ok to start small. Sometimes we think we have to jump in fully into a new lifestyle. Doing so can make the process overwhelming and that is where we can get frustrated when we do not meet certain goals. A good way to start is being mindful when you eat. How many times do you eat while doing another activity such as working through lunch, watching TV, reading, etc.? With every bite you take, be mindful about it. From chewing each bite to how it makes your body feel. Think of nothing else but processing the food you are eating in that moment. Even if you start by just doing this one meal a week, you will notice that you may realize you are fuller faster than you normally are, the food taste better, and you become more aware of exactly what you are eating.

Other ways you can practice mindfulness during your day are:

  • Start becoming more aware of yourself, your physical body, your emotions, your reaction to people, things and circumstances as well as your body language.
  • When engaging in conversation, give all your attention to the person. Put your phone away, shut off the TV, and have a conversation.
  • Set intentions for your day, or affirmations.
  • Set small goals for yourself. For example, each day pick something that you will be mindful about instead of being mindful about every moment while you are learning to incorporate this more in your life.
  • Practice Mindfulness Meditation
  • Staying present in the moment
  • Every morning and ever night, say three things you were grateful for that day.
  • Listen to positive uplifting music.
  • Practice Mindful eating habits/ Follow our Spiritual Detox Program : https://elysianlifedesign.wordpress.com/2018/04/01/doing-a-spiritual-detox-how-to/
  • Notice sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches.
  • Do a self-reflection of your day before bed and access ways you can incorporate mindfulness during the next day.

There are many great ways that Stones and Crystals can help you remain mindful in your life such as:

  • use during meditation
  • holding or carrying the stone or crystal during the day
  • sleeping with them

Any of the above uses can help provide clarity of thoughts and an overall sense of happiness and love. Here are some Stones and Crystals that can help you remain mindful and present throughout the day:

  • Amethyst
  • Carnelian
  • Malachite
  • Rose Quartz
  • Turquoise

The best thing you can do when practicing mindfulness is to keep it simple. Worrying about being mindful enough or too little will cause you more stress. Just do your best to be present in your own life. Pay attention to nurturing your body. Notice how you are breathing, eating, drinking healthy fluids and how you are thinking about yourself and expressing yourself. Become an active participant in your own life, and start noticing how your actions can impact moments in your day and can also impact your relationships with others.

Your Divine Support Team…

image1

The Divine Support Team

We all have access to a Divine Support Team, and it can be one of the most powerful spiritual tools we could ever use on our spiritual journey. In many ways, it can be the ultimate connection to the Divine. It will open and expand your mind to realize that the Divine works in an amazing way beyond our understanding and if you haven’t experienced the Divine’s gifts first hand you would find it hard to believe it was real.  Are you ready for a key part of accessing your own Divine connection?

What is your Divine Support Team?

The Divine Support Team is very important to any healing process. It can be made up of your Guides, Power Animals, Passed Love Ones, Angels, Divine beings and any Deities you may work with already, or to which you feel a connection.

Why should you work with them?

Your Divine Support Team can help you stay sane during the healing process. It is easy to feel alone when you are going through a healing crisis of some kind. But, the truth is the Divine is always there to support you. You may have to ask for the healing, help, and guidance. It may not come instantly. But, your request will be heard and it will come.

How can you work with them?

Call them in every day. Ask them to help your ground yourself and remain open to hearing them, or seeing any signs they are sending. The more you work with them the stronger the connection will become, and the level of trust will enhance. Sometimes it is as simple as asking for help from them. We have to give permission for our Divine Support Team to intervene in our life. We also highly suggest that you not only the use of signs and symbols to connect with them but also use meditation and mindful awareness of your thoughts. Here are some resources to review for more information.

The Divine, and your Divine Support Team are an extension of the Universe. You will start to see miracles in your life every day by working with them and remembering to ask for help. You may feel that issues are unsurmountable in your life. But, to the Divine, all things are possible. Remember they are on your side, and your biggest supporter. I know sometimes things don’t turn out the way we would like. But, in most cases in hindsight, we can see the blessings behind why it didn’t happen, and understand the bigger blessings that we never imagined. Hold faith that however life works out that it will hold those Divine blessings for you.

Doing a Spiritual Detox: How to…

download (1)A Spiritual journey is filled with many ups and downs just like any important thing we do in life. There are many times that we hit a plateau and we then feel overwhelmed, stuck, defeated, sick, frustrated and so much more. If you have reached those feelings, it is time to do a detox. Not just any detox a full-blown mind, body & soul Spiritual Detox!

For the last year, I have been called to go through this process and it is not always easy. But, I am going to share with you some of the steps to take for each area of this detox. Try your best to do a Spiritual Detox for 21 days. If you are going through some harder areas at the moment, try to extend your detox program to 40 days for best long-term benefits. Before we get into the actual Spiritual Detox plan, I want you to take a few moments and answer these questions:

  1. What is your intention for this Spiritual Detox?
  2. Are you open to Change?
  3. Are you willing to be truthful with yourself along the way? (This is a very important question. If you are good at pretending to yourself, a Spiritual Detox is not something you should try right now, unless you are willing to take a hard look at some things.)

So, now that you have thought about those questions, let’s take a look at the Elysian Life Design Spiritual Detox Plan!

Mind

The mind is a funny and complex entity. Yet, it is where our EGO can live. It is the headquarters for overthinking, doubt, self- destructive behaviors, anxiety and more.

  • Wake up every day with Gratitude: As soon as you open your eyes each day and before going to sleep at night, say these two words and it will change your life in amazing ways. “Thank You”! Saying those words it creates gratitude in your heart and raises your vibrations to the level of gratitude so that you are continuously sending gratitude into the Universe and it can send it back to you.
  • Let it Go…No Seriously Let it Go: That is right, you can literally sing the song from Frozen if you have to. We all have and it is ok if you need to every day. In order to release and make room for new dreams and desires you have to release the past, blame, disappointment, hurt, etc. Doing so will allow you to move into a place where you can be free from those emotions and judgments. You have to get to a place where the only person you have to please or justify yourself to is yourself. If the past is holding your present and your future hostage, you have to cut it off and release it.
  • Surround yourself with Positivity: When you put positive thoughts out in the Universe, positivity will find it’s way back to you. One of the most intense callings I got on my Spiritual detox journey was to turn down the volume of the World. I use to be to the kind of person that loved the hustle and bustle of large cities. But, then I reached a point where all I craved was quiet and a great distance from negativity. We have to turn the TV off, put the phones, tablets, computers away and listen to Nature. Put Facebook and Instagram away for a few hours and seek the real positivity in your life. Some think we are who we surround ourselves with. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, uplift you, and encourage you to go for your dreams. Eliminate the haters and fakes in your life that are holding you back whether you know it or not. One of the things I try to do all year long, even if I am not on a Spiritual Detox, I listen to positive uplifting music on K-LOVE radio http://www.klove.com/. It will remind you of the good in the world and that there are good left and people trying to make it better. Do a good deed every day just because. Be a good person, have patience, and appreciate others. Those small actions will make a huge difference in your life.

Body

I learned something a long time ago that most of us know but forget. So, I am going to remind you again. Our Bodies are our temple. How you treat your body is up to you. But, this area is just as important as the other areas of this detox. This detox is not meant to help you lose weight, but to help you build a better relationship with your body.

  • Practice mindful eating: Being mindful is something I am always working on improving. I constantly multitask in my head. And when I eat, I am always multitasking. I have had and still have moments where I am guilty of not being mindful when I eat. I am rushed so I eat quickly while I have a few minutes. I overextend how long my body can go without eating. Then, when I do eat, I want to make up for the meals I missed in one sitting. And, how many of us actually chew our food properly? I know I wasn’t! So, what I started doing was to slow my mind and be in the moment with each bite. I would engage my senses. How did the food taste? How did it smell? And maybe most of all, I would chew each bite at least 25-45 times. I would actually count each time in my head. Yes, it can get annoying. But, a few things happened when I did this. I became more aware of myself. Sometimes I would close my eyes while I was chewing so that I could just focus on the process. I also would get full faster cause I was able to hear my body because I was paying attention while nourishing it.

  • Practice Healthy Eating: Eating healthy, nourishing meals with fresh fruits and vegetables has an incredible way of raising your vibration. You’ll also want to be sure you’re well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, herbal tea, and other non-caffeinated, non-chemical laden, or non-sugar-filled drinks! The more Alkaline the water and foods the better. Try your best to limit your sugar intake as much as possible.

  • Take a Detox Herbal Bath: When I was doing my Spiritual Detox journey, I felt like I needed an additional component for my body. So, I created “Purification” A detoxifying herbal bath blend. Filled with high-quality therapeutic ingredients and Energy Medicine. Our bath blend can also be used for a foot bath, and more. As soon as you experience the scents this bath blend has to offer, you will start benefiting from the high vibration energy medicine and your body will be detoxing. This blend is perfect for removing stagnant energy and emotions from your body, as well as removing toxins and allowing your vibes to flow in a pure state of energy. You can view this product in our ETSY store for more information at: https://www.etsy.com/listing/575292274/purification-herbal-bath-blend?ref=shop_home_active_2

Soul

  • Energetically and physically clear your space: Energetically, everything that ever happens in our space leaves a residue of energy that can become imprinted in the space. Illness, doubt, arguments, negative emotions, trauma, grief and even every day energetic junk that you pick up can build up around the rooms of your space.  Smudging your space will help remove or shift that build-up in your space and create a higher frequency of light and positive energy to flow throughout. Many people can find doing this overwhelming and don’t know where to start. To learn more about this, click here: https://elysianlifedesign.wordpress.com/2016/06/01/clearing-your-space-insight-tips/. It is also important to physically clear your space. Prosperity, high vibration and abundance have a difficult time in lower vibration spaces. So, remove the clutter, organize, and make room for new. A rule that I have personally followed is that, if you have not used it in 6 months, get rid of it. Let’s be honest, we do not always have this “urge to purge”, or clean up. But, when your body tells you it is time, listen to it and just go with it. That is the absolute best time to go through your closet, cabinets, and When you get that urge to organize and clean things out, your emotions will less likely interfere with your decisions of whether or not to keep sweatpants you love but can no longer wear because they are so worn out, or the CD you bought in 1998 that you now have in your digital music collection. If you are the type of person who doesn’t get that urge that is ok too; try to do a good de-clutter at the change of each season. To start to make three piles: Keep, Donate, Throw Away and Recycle (as some items will be beyond help). Creating these piles will help you start the organizational process. When there is a donation pile you know the items are going to be useful to someone else and you will be more inclined to give it to a person who needs it more than you. Knowing you are going to be helping someone by donating items to a worthy charity will calm any separation anxiety you may feel about the item. We all have that t-shirt, souvenir, book, magazine or knickknack that we hold on to just a little too long, so this spring clean it out. These techniques work for your home or office spaces. Re-gain your energy, space and emotional well-being. You will be amazed at how accomplished, happy, lighter and at ease you will feel once you declutter your home, office, and life. Sometimes when you start cleaning and get that energy flowing in your space, you can allow forward movement for your goals.

  • Connect with your Divine Support Team: This is something that all of us have access to and it is so easy to do, but we can often forget. Your Divine Support Team consist of, but not limited to, your Higher Self, Guides, Guardian Angels, Past loved ones, Spirit or Power Animals and Deities, or Archangels with whom you have a close connection. Through this connection, you are able to translate information that is most important for you to receive at that particular time in your life. Through visual information, we can tell you how to create a deeper connection with members of your Divine Support Team. This will allow you to strengthen your own spirituality, intuition, signs, and symbols they may send you to let you know they are very much present in your life and that you are on the right path. All you have to do is welcome them into your day and give them permission to help and they will be there. Spiritual Extras

  • Cut your Energy cords: When we connect with another person, especially with Family, Friends and in Romantic partnerships, we can activate an energetic cordwith them. As we continue through the relationships with these people, interactions, thoughts, emotions, and feelings are added to the cord. This cord has the ability to share energy and transmit a high frequency of communication which may explain why we often feel and connect telepathically to our partner’s thoughts and emotions. When the cord is healthy, it can create a vibrant, energetic source exchange. But, when the cord is unhealthy, it can often lead to feeling controlled or drained of Most of us will intuitively know how strong our cord is with someone. But, if you are unsure, a good measure is how strong or how often you think or feel towards someone. This is especially true if the thoughts are obsessive, manipulative or fearful. There are many different ways that you can cut your Energy cords. Perhaps you already have a way that works for you. If you don’t and would like some ways others have found helpful, please email us at contact@elysianld.com and we will email you back some helpful resources.

  • Cleanse Your Energy With Light: There are many ways that you can do this. You can get energy healing work done. Or, if you are in need of some immediate relief and don’t have access to a healer you know and trust, a simple way is to imagine yourself under a waterfall of white sparkling light. Let this light wash over you and remove anything that is no longer serving you, or anything less than love in your life. Take three deep breathes and with each exhale try to get deeper into your own energy. You can also try clearing your energy with our Holy Water that carries the vibration of White Light: https://www.etsy.com/listing/507047988/holy-water-2oz?ref=shop_home_active_11

  • Take YOU Time: This can act as something that can really fall into all three areas of your detox. Maybe you want to get out in Nature and take some deep breaths out in the Sunshine, get an Energy Healing Session, go to a Yoga class, or get your blood pumping at spin. Maybe, you just want to take a nap with your YOU time. Any of those things can feed your soul. It creates a bond of trust with your mind, body, and soul and is really what can keep you going on your overall Spiritual Journey.

Most of all, learn to trust yourself during this Spiritual Detox. Trust in your Divine Support Team and in your journey. Do your best and the rest will fall into place. It may not be in your timing, but Divine time will work itself out in your favor. At the end of your detox, you will have clearer, deeper insight and have a solid foundation of your path. You may find that you need to incorporate some of these things into your daily or weekly routine. Think of it as Spiritual Maintenance like getting an oil change for your car. These tools will help keep you on the right life path. This is a small sample of our Spiritual Detox Program that contains an in depth look on these items and more. Stay tuned for more information on our Spiritual Detox Program publication.

Spring Transformation & Balance…

indian-woman-dancing-in-holi-festival-in-india-1600x900

This is one of my most favorite times of year. It is a time when we welcome the balance of the day-force and the night-force with the Spring Equinox (also known as the Vernal Equinox or Ostara). This year, the Spring Equinox is March 20th, 2018 at 12:15 pm EST. On this day, there will be an equal amount of day time and night time. In Christianity it is associated with the passion of Christ and Ancient cultures often associated it with Resurrection. Much like during spring, the Earth resurrects from winter and the darkness. This is a magical day of new beginnings, transformation, and re-birth. The energy of this day will help you match your grid matrix with that of the Universe and offer you healing and balance.

The month of March is all about Fertility and new growth. So, what better day than the Spring Equinox to welcome in new beginnings and any transformation you have been seeking. Many of you may have heard the term “Spring Cleaning”. I am a big fan of “spring cleaning” my soul. Bring in your light, shed your old layers, let go of anything and any one that is toxic to your energy, bring balance, resurrect from your ashes, and give birth to your spiritual self. This isn’t always an easy thing to do. Many of us want to manifest all these abundances into our lives. If the space you have inside is cluttered and full of all these old emotions and limitations, how can new things grow? You have to make the room. So detox your mind, body, and spirit this month as you prepare for the Spring Equinox.

Here are a few suggestions how you can celebrate the Spring Equinox:

  • Clear a space for a garden
  • Honor Mother Earth and spend some time taking a walk in nature
  • Meditate for balance at dawn or sunset
  • Honor the God or Goddess of your choice and ask for their assistance with your transformation
  • Use the energy of the day to fuel new projects and goals
  • Leave an offering of fruit as a symbol of fertility and growth for the nature spirits
  • Light some candles at dawn to help welcome more light to the Earth
  • If you are a mother, spend some time honoring your own fertility and gift of life that was created within you
  • If becoming a mother is part of your re-birth, honor your fertility and set your intentions with Mother Earth, your God or Goddess of choice and the Universe
  • You have heard the phrase “Spring Cleaning”, there is a reason. This is the time to clean your home and welcome in the new season
  • This one was my personal favorite to do last year. It is an activity you can do with the whole family. At the exact time of the Equinox, if you take an egg outside and place it on the ground, it will stand up straight! Yes it is true, I tried it myself and it actually works and is really cool to see in person
  • You can hold a Holi Festival with your family and friends. A Holi Festival is a Hindu tradition where they throw various colors at each other and around town, in honor of the revival of spring

No matter how you choose to spend the Spring Equinox, know that your own transformation is divinely supported. Make that room in your spirit and know that you can achieve any goal you have if you nurture it and allow it to grow just like springtime. With the change of the season, you will start to feel more balanced and re-energized.

Finding the Love of your Life…YOU

o-SELF-LOVE-facebook

Self-love has been something I have personally struggled with all my life. It has, by far, been one of my most difficult lessons in this life. I can play the guilty blame game with myself all day long, and I am the best at it. “You’re this, why that, I can’t believe you” are all famous words in my mind. I have been strongly focusing on my view of my own self-love for the last ten years. The first year along the journey, I had to spend figuring out who the heck I had become. The second year, I did something that I highly recommend to do at least once in your life if you can. I cut my hair from more than half way down my back to a pixie cut. This had been something I had felt called to do for so many years, but let others talk me out of it. One day I woke up and said today is the day. I made the appointment and I basically forced myself to jump off the self-love ledge. Not only did I release the weight of my hair, but years of emotional weight that I didn’t need to hold on to anymore. For some reason, we associate hair with what makes us beautiful. By cutting all my hair off I had no choice but to take a look at me and love me for me.

I am not going to lie. There were empowered days, bad days, ugly days, self judgement days and downright months of awkward hair days along this journey. But, it was so incredibly powerful and an amazing self-learning experience. People I didn’t even know would stop me and talk to me about my hair. Perhaps they had seen me around the grocery store, or saw me out and felt the need to let me know I was rocking it. I learned that it wasn’t my hair that made me beautiful. I was the real me projecting my happiness and inner glow. Each year brought something new that I would focus on. Finally, I was in the position where I was finally living my purpose. Sure, not all areas on my life were amazing. But, I had faith, support from important people in my life who loved me and cheered me on, and filled me with inspiration. Once again, I found myself in the grocery store while my hair in a hat, no make-up, sweats with other women telling me how they could see my glow and I looked happy. I recently read an article on the topic which blew my mind. We place a lot of emphasis on “Love” in our lives. It is right up there on the list of “wants” for our lives. Society, in general, tends to base our worth on who loves us and finding “the One”. The article I read explored the concept of what if “The One” was ourselves? What if the one person that completes us is us (and queue the mind blown emoji). We are the love of our life. All along we were searching for it and it was in us all along! This is an interesting concept to explore. Although, we can have a significant person in our lives be “the one” we love, I have longed believed that we have to start with Self-Love. We have to realize we are worthy of a healthy, happy and loving relationship of any kind, before we can share our heart truly with another person.

Self-Love is becoming increasingly more to a lot of us. We live in a time where fake is real to people and time is moving so quickly because we are being told what we should look like, or wear, or how to act to be considered beautiful. While exploring this topic, I knew that there must be a lot of other people who also have issues with Self-Love. So, I wanted to create a 21 Day Self-Love Challenge. It takes 21 Days to form a new habit. That is why for three weeks you are going to take some needed “YOU” time to regroup, relearn and rejuvenate yourself! There are some basic rules for this challenge. Remember that you are doing this for you, nobody else. Please try to take it day by day and don’t jump around days. You will see that there is a reason for the order of the activities at the end of the challenge. Over the 21 days, there are three things you are going to do EVERYDAY for the whole challenge!

  1. Compliment yourself every day in the mirror ( No matter what)
  2. Listen to your body & take care of yourself
  3. Check in with yourself even for a minute a day and listen to what your soul is telling you
  4. Say “No” to things that don’t make you happy

Here is your guide to your 21 day Self-Love Challenge:

Day 1: Write down something you already love about yourself and write down something you hope to love or accept about yourself at the end of the challenge.

Day 2: Surround yourself with Inspirational Self Love quotes. For example, computer screen, phone background, and post it’s on the mirror, etc. Any quote that makes you feel nurtured.

Day 3: Write down 3 things you would define Love to be

Day 4: Do a meditation that helps connect you with your Higher-Self

Day 5: Take 5 minutes to yourself to just be you

Day 6: Write down a set of Chakra Affirmations for yourself

Day 7: Make yourself a special meal just for you

Day 8: Listen to that song that just makes you feel good and helps you feel empowered

Day 9: Spend some time saying the Ho’oponopono (Hawaiian forgiveness) Prayer. Repeat the words “I am sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I Love You.”

Day 10: Buy yourself some fresh flowers

Day 11: Disconnect from technology at least one hour before bed

Day 12: Do this EFT exercise for Self-Love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGybX8_8mto

Day 13: Today, Live in the moment

Day 14: Do something that makes you happy

Day 15: Reflect on 5 things that made you get out of bed today for yourself

Day 16: Stand in your best Superhero pose for at least 3 minutes

Day 17: Look at yourself for 3 minutes in the mirror and give gratitude for your mind, body and spirit

Day 18: Write down your core values of Love

Day 19: Write yourself a letter that releases everything you no longer need to hold on to

Day 20: Have a complete YOU day (and go make up free)

Day 21: Treat yourself to something you Love

Each day we will be following along with you through our Instagram @elysian_life_design and our Facebook event at https://www.facebook.com/events/2018054151796192/ . (Please be sure to read event post about multiple days)

We will be providing in-depth details for each day. Our goal is that, at the end of the 21 days, you will have the tools you need to truly be in the best relationship with yourself and find your own inner glow. The only thing that is expected of us each day is that we give that day 100%. That is going to be different every day. Some days your 100% is 2% or 28% but it is a 100% of what you have. That is all you can expect of yourself. So, honor that within you.

The Ho’oponopono Prayer can be a very powerful exercise. Here are a few videos we like for this prayer that may help you along your self-love journey:

“I think the most important thing in life is self-love, because if you don’t have self-love, and respect for everything about your own body, your own soul, your own capsule, then how can you have an authentic relationship with anyone else?” – Shailene Woodley

Move into Action in the New Year…

girl plays superhero

With the New Year, the energy in the Universe urges us to take action in our lives. Not only action, but authentic action! You will find that the energy of 2018 is giving you the push you need to get your life together and get things that you have been dreaming of done. Taking action in our lives can create the results:

  • Action Creates Courage
  • Action Allows Emergence
  • Motivation Follows Action

Taking action in our lives is like creating change. It can be a very scary thing to do. We can get stuck in fear just thinking of moving forward. Part of the reason we sit in the non-action zone is that many of us we have a fear of failure. We will not do something simply because we can’t fail if we don’t try. That is why fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. When we take action on those dreams and goals, we find out what we are made of, what we are actually capable of achieving, and ultimately emerge. When we create an emergence, we step into who we are meant to be without hesitation or resistance to change. We can also find peace within ourselves and our lives. Once we find internal peace that is when the hard part kind of begins. It is the long term of the action. When we have action, we must have motivation that allows us to keep that action. What is your driving force for the action you are taking? Do you want to live your purpose? Do you want to help others? Do you just want enough money to pay for your needs? Whatever it is that is going to get you out of bed each day to walk in action instead of fear is what you need to nourish. Just like you have to water a garden for it to grow, you must be willing to water your dreams and commit to them for the long term. Part of the reason we can fail at action is that we think making one mistake ruins everything. So, we might as well just give up on it because it is easier than continuing. Let me tell you that, every day and even every second of every day, you have the power to keep going. To decide, yes I screwed that up, but I am going keep going because I believe in my dreams. You want them so badly that you can taste it. If you believe it you will achieve it. If you don’t you won’t. It is that simple.

Other ways you can focus on taking action in your life is:

Connect with the Present: Stay as present as you can each day. Learn to focus on only the things over which you have control. A book that really helped me in this area was “Change your thoughts, change your life” by Wayne Dyer. If you struggle with your thoughts getting the best of you at all, I highly recommend reading it. You can also watch his PBS special at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c3307Ia7Nw

Think before committing: I will admit, I am a people pleaser. I used to have a big problem saying yes to everything. To make things worse, I would say yes without even thinking if it was something I really even wanted to do. Then, as soon as I agreed, I would start thinking about it. We have the right to say no to some things as well. If you don’t want to meet that friend at the bar at 9pm on a Monday night, you don’t have to. Justifications are not required. When I realized that I needed to change the pattern that I created, I implemented the following procedure. When anyone asked me if I wanted to do something, instead of saying yes right away, I would tell them that I would check my calendar and get back to them. Then, I would give myself one day, and then answer back. Now if it is something you know you really want to do, then of course say yes. But, if you find yourself in the pattern of saying yes to everything, and then canceling or backing out of commitments at the last minute, you may want to try this and see if it helps. We want to be authentic in our action. That is why taking a day to think about it actually help you stay authentic to yourself and to the people who are asking you.

Accountability:  We live in a time where accountability is a hard trait to come by. At some point, I fear finding someone who takes accountability for their actions will be like trying to find a Unicorn. Everyone is an individual. But, at some point, we all have to be accountable for our actions. We don’t want to achieve our dreams and actions by manipulation, or cheating, or hurting other people on the way. When you fuel action by those things you will never really attain you goal. The way to achieve the desired outcome from your action is through our own authenticity. How one person achieves it doesn’t mean that is how you will. You have to be brave to look at yourself and hold yourself accountable for who you are and the actions you take. Attaining your dreams is solely your responsibility.  Here is a great article on the topic further:  http://www.amanet.org/training/articles/no-excuses-being-accountable-for-your-own-success.aspx

Now, along the way, you may not get it right and that is ok. But, I guarantee you that you will learn something each time you try, and then there will come a day that you do get it right. It won’t happen overnight, but there will come a day when you wake up and say “wow, I did it!”

“The path to success is to take massive, determined actions.” – Tony Robbins

Upcoming Master Year of 11/2: And…

As a new year is upon us, we wonder “what is going to happen?” Each year carries a numerological energetic vibration to it. In 2018 the Universal Energetic Vibration will be an 11/ 2 year (2+0+1+8=11 (1+1=2)). Eleven is what’s considered a Master Number and, without getting to deeply into Numerology, typically Master Numbers don’t always get reduced to a single digit like other numbers. So, it can be an 11 or a 2. The year often marks the beginning of a new direction. Have you ever heard the saying “its 11:11 make a wish”? Well, think about 2018 as your opportunity to make a wish all year long! Eleven is a significant spiritual number that calls us to awaken, live our purpose, and allow our intuition to guide us in our new level of consciousness. Here are some themes we may be looking at in our own lives based on the energetic vibration of the 11/2 numbers:

  • Be patient and wait for opportunities to come to you
  • Be positive and proactive about finding love
  • Build upon what you already have
  • Consolidate and solidify what you started last year
  • Develop psychic abilities and enhance your intuition
  • Focus on your health and well-being
  • Improve your existing relationships with others
  • Practice mindfulness; consider getting some energy healing and practice meditation or yoga
  • Recognize, express, and release repressed emotions
  • Work on personal development
  • Work on self-love

We are living in a era where time is going by faster than ever. Everything is rushed and it feels like people are not taking a Sunday stroll through life anymore, but running through it. Some people, not all, are impatient, rude and sometimes downright mean. But, there is also a lot of good and hope in the world. We just don’t hear about it with all the fears being projected in the media. So, what does this all mean? Here is what I feel we have the chance to do as a collective group this year.

  • We will take action toward our goals and dreams that we manifested in 2017.
  • Change can become impossible to ignore as we ache for it for humanity and are asking ourselves what we are tolerate and why.
  • A bold opportunity to be patient! Not only with others, but ourselves and to accept the opportunities that the Universe is working on for us.
  • With Jupiter spending this year in Scorpio, we will all seek the truth about things and not settle for less than the truth. That may even include no longer lying to ourselves about things.
  • Have the courage to trust our ability to do what we love and to have a relationship with whom we love while making enough money to thrive and trust that the Universe and the Divine are going to provide for us in a way that is best for our higher selves.

Do I think a shift is going to take place? Absolutely! I think it has already started with the Divine Feminine energy that came in with 2017. I think we no longer have a choice but to make a shift for the better. Change can be really scary for a lot of people. So, there may be some hesitation you see in others who decide to fight the change and do it the harder way instead of embracing it and sailing with the wind. A word of wisdom from my own experiences fighting change. It happens anyways. It is just easier if you go with it verse the alternative were the Universe pushes you into it. “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” – Oprah Winfrey
